Former IPS officer RN Ravi takes oath as the Governor of West Bengal at a ceremony in Lok Bhawan on Thursday in Kolkata. He was administered the oath by Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court, Sujoy Paul, in the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee, Senior Minister and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim and Left Front chairman Biman Bose. RN Ravi also greets West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after taking the oath as the West Bengal Governor.

The 72 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a free medical camp on Thursday in Jamola, a remote hilly area of Rajouri. Jitendra Singh Yadav, the Commanding Officer of the 72 Battalion CRPF, stated, "This medical camp has been organised by the 72 Battalion. We have organised these camps in other places also, because this is a very remote area, and people might not get the proper medical facilities."

Speaking to ANI, Bharathi described his journey as remarkable and said that he chose the civil services with the aim of contributing to society, particularly at the grassroots level. Divisional Forest Officer Avinash Pandey, while speaking to ANI, said, "We found a 3-4 days-old (leopard) cub in the Chhajlet area. We rescued it and tried to reunite it with its mother. We kept it for 36 hours, but couldn't find its mother. So, we sent it to the deer park for care..."

President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday addressed officer trainees of the 79th batch of the Indian Revenue Service (IT) at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital.

In a detailed letter, addressed to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC); and the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of West Bengal, the party said the revision exercise had been marked by procedural violations, technical failures, and arbitrary decisions that threaten the integrity of the electoral process.

The Delhi High Court on Monday said it will stay the remarks made against the investigating agency and officer in the discharge order in the Delhi Excise Policy case and directed the trial court to defer proceedings in the connected case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

"The Governor's helicopter landed at the GVK helipad. The administration is taking necessary action in this regard. He is currently in a safe house," Kumar told ANI.

Speaking to ANI, Anuj Agnihotri said that he gave his first attempt for the examination in 2022 while interning and finally cleared with an extraordinary rank in his third attempt. He had previously secured a position as a DANICS officer and is currently receiving the training for the same.
