Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 31 (ANI): After the Varanasi District Court allowed the Hindu side to offer prayers at the Gyanvapi mosque complex, Acharya Satyendra Das, Chief Priest of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple, expressed joy over the same.
Earlier today, the Varanasi district court allowed Hindu devotees to offer prayers inside the 'Vyas Ka Tahkhana' area inside the Gyanvapi mosque complex. The court has asked the district administration to make the necessary arrangements in the next seven days.
"An order has been given that prayers were performed there and that should continue... It is good that the right to perform the 'Puja' has been given... The truth has come out," Aachrya Das said while speaking to ANI.
"Those who stopped the puja and how it was stopped were wrong. I thank the court for giving me the right to perform puja. It is a matter of joy. Halting the puja was wrong, but now the wrong has been rectified," he added.
Meanwhile, Advocate Vishnu Jain, representing the Hindu side, told ANI, "As soon as arrangements are made, Hindu devotees will start offering prayers. Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust does not need any order to make arrangements for prayers. We have done our legal work. It is up to Trust to start the prayers within seven days."
Referring to the February 1, 1986 order, when District Judge KM Pandey ordered the opening of the locks of Ram Mandir, Jain said, "I compare today's order with that February 1, 1986 order. It is a historic order." (ANI)
