Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], December 21 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray criticised the Maharashtra Mahayuti government over the apparent delay in portfolio allocation, calling it a "a joke," saying that ministers have gotten their perks but no responsibility.
"All ministers got bungalows and cars but no responsibility. A joke is going on. No one wants to serve," he told ANI.
Criticising the Eknath Shinde led Shiva Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party too, he said that both the parties are fighting over portfolios with each other, calling it "pure selfishness," on their part.
"Even today, the two factions (Shiv Sena and NCP) that are with the BJP are fighting over what portfolio they will get. This is selfishness and nothing else," he said.
Earlier, party leader Sanjay Raut expressed concern over the delay in the allocation, questioning the government on it despite them having an adequate majority.
Speaking to the media, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Raut said, "What is happening in government, it's is difficult to understand. The government (Mahayuti government) has been formed but no portfolio has been allocated till now. there are a lot of law and order issues..who is accountable... despite having so much majority why is so much delay."
Today is the last day of the Maharashtra Assembly winter session, with minister Girish Mahajan saying that he believes a unanimous decision has been reached between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar.

"I think a unanimous decision has been made between Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. It will be announced soon," he told ANI.
He further said that due to the historic mandate given to the Mahayuti government, there has been just a little tussle and delay between the three parties regarding the portfolios, but ultimately a decision will be announced soon.
"Today is the last day (of the winter session of the Maharashtra Assembly), although it is true that there is some delay (in Maharashtra cabinet portfolio distribution). I think this decision will be taken in a day or two... This is a historic majority... We have been elected in such a large number, so there is some tussle between the three parties," he said. (ANI)
