93 NTPC workers missing in Uttarakhand glacier burst incident

The ongoing dispute between the management of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and its sole recognised union, Bhartiya Khadya Nigam Karamchari Sangh (BKNKS), was taken up for conciliation on Thursday before the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) in New Delhi.

The District Magistrate instructed that, in accordance with the guidelines of the Government of India, first priority in LPG distribution should be given to domestic consumers so that the general public does not face any inconvenience. He also directed that home delivery of domestic LPG cylinders should be ensured through an OTP-based system

Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday distributed 40 electric cars to Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state in Gandhinagar to facilitate practical training in electric vehicle technology for trainees in the Motor Mechanic trade. According to a post by BRS on 'X', KTR warned that the shortage is severely affecting hotels, eateries, hostels and small food businesses. The letter cautioned that thousands of establishments could be forced to shut down, while lakhs of workers and students may face serious hardship if the LPG supply is not restored immediately.

The incident occurred at Capital Power System Limited, a company engaged in the manufacture of electricity meters, under the jurisdiction of the Phase 2 police station. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials said.
