Sabarimala Temple

Thiruvanthipuram (Tamil Nadu) [India], Nov 9 (ANI): Scores of people including 539 females under the age group of 10-50 years have registered themselves on the recently implemented Digitised Crowd Management System (DCMS) to visit the Sabarimala Temple.
As many as 3 lakh people have registered their names on the website www.sabarimalaq.com launched by the state police for hassle-free visit to the shrine.
With the new system in force, devotees can now opt for their preferred date and time to visit the 12th-century temple. The new move also allows them to fix darshan timings and book bus tickets from Nilakkal to Pamba. The booking will be valid for 48 hours.
The Sabarimala Temple and surrounding areas witnessed a string of protests recently over the Supreme Court's decision to quash restrictions on the entry of females of menstruating age, between 10 and 50 years, into the shrine.
As many as 3505 protesters have been arrested and around 529 cases were registered so far in connection with series of violence in the state after the opening of the Temple gate in October. (ANI)
