4.78 lakh more houses sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday launched the distribution of seed capital under Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyaan (MMUA) to women beneficiaries by handing over cheques amounting to Rs. 10,000 to each of the 5,155 women beneficiaries of Jalukbari Legislative Assembly Constituency at a programme held at Swahid Smarak Kshetra in Boragaon in Guwahati.

Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu felicitated Anil Marwah, a dedicated enthusiast of the Delhi Metro, for his personal milestone of riding the first train on the opening day of every newly inaugurated metro corridor in the Delhi Metro network.

As per the schedule, the draft proposal for the delimitation of wards will be published on March 12. Residents of the concerned municipal areas can submit objections or suggestions till March 19.

Congress MP Rajani Patil on Thursday demanded strict action following the attack on National Conference President, Farooq Abdullah. She flagged the state of security, underlining that even a Z plus protectee became a target.

"I have one question for Rahul Gandhi: Why did your government in Telangana evacuate landowners? How dare your government enter into private property? How dare your government demolish the houses of poor people? And how dare your ministers lie to the people of Telangana so blatantly for the whole world to see?"
