330 projects worth ₹10.48 lakh crore: UP CM hails PRAGATI portal, highlights transition from "bottleneck" to "facilitator" and "accelerator"

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 13 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday hailed the PRAGATI portal, technology-driven governance and inter-agency problem-solving, highlighting the state's massive infrastructure push, with 330 projects worth ₹10.48 lakh crore underway.
Addressing a press conference in Lucknow on the progress of infrastructure projects being monitored through the PRAGATI portal, he highlighted the state's transition from "bottleneck" to "facilitator" and "accelerator."
"Uttar Pradesh has now become a breakthrough state rather than a bottleneck. By using this kind of technology, when we have achieved platforms like 'PRAGATI'... The state has moved beyond the facilitator and is now accelerating progress across these projects. A platform like 'PRAGATI' has further strengthened Team India's spirit... This is the Prime Minister's vision... I would like to thank PM for having this vision," he added.
During the press conference, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh currently has the largest infrastructure portfolio in the country, with 330 projects worth Rs 10.48 lakh crore under implementation.
Providing an update on delivery, Yogi Adityanath said that 128 projects worth Rs 2.37 lakh crore have already been commissioned, while projects worth Rs 8.11 lakh crore are progressing in line with set targets. He emphasised that sustained investment in roads and railways has been crucial to transforming Uttar Pradesh into a major transport and logistics hub.
The Chief Minister further stated that 65 large projects worth Rs 4.19 lakh crore are underway across the state. Of these, 26 projects have already been commissioned, and 39 are at various stages of execution.
"Uttar Pradesh has the country's largest infrastructure portfolio with 330 projects worth Rs 10,48,000 crore, which include family, power, urban infrastructure, health and industrial development... In terms of delivery, Rs 2,37,000 crore worth 128 projects have already been commissioned. Rs 8,11,202 crore worth of projects are going forward as per the target... Roads and railways helped UP in becoming a transport and logistics hub... In UP, 4,19,000 worth of 65 major projects are in progress, of which 26 are already commissioned, and 39 are at various stages of progress... Inter-agency problems have decreased in the state...," he said.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that the PRAGATI portal has emerged as an effective tool for interdepartmental coordination and swift decision-making, leading to faster project implementation in sectors such as highways, railways, power, and telecom.
"Through the 'PRAGATI' portal, all departments discuss among themselves and find solutions... it has resulted in rapid progress of projects related to highways, railways, power, and telecom... this is also a model of good governance... out of a total of 515 topics, we resolved 494 of them through this portal... The target of 278 of 287 projects has been met through this portal. This also shows the ability of the high-level and our administrative and decision-making leadership...," CM said.
CM Adityanath credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and thanked him for the initiative - "Team India" spirit and administrative leadership. The PRAGATI portal has improved inter-agency coordination, making UP an attractive investment destination.
"A platform like 'PRAGATI' has made Team India's spirit even more effective... This is the Prime Minister's vision... I would like to thank PM for having this vision," added UP CM. (ANI)
