"3 patients admitted here, one in critical condition," says AIIMS Rishikesh Director on Uttarkashi flash floods

Rishikesh (Uttarakhand) [India], August 7 (ANI): In the wake of a cloudburst in Uttarkashi's Dharali area, AIIMS Rishikesh Director Meenu Singh on Thursday said three victims of the cloudburst in Uttarkashi's Dharali area have been brought to AIIMS Rishikesh.
Singh said the 32-year-old patient is in serious condition with a spine fracture, while the other two are stable. More patients are expected, and two others were taken to the Military Hospital in Dehradun yesterday.
Speaking to ANI, Meenu Singh said, "Three male patients have been brought here. They are aged 32, 28, and 42 years. The 32-year-old victim is very serious, and he has been admitted to the red area... Among other things, he has a spine fracture... The others are in a stable condition... They are being well taken care of... Yesterday, we were expecting more patients as well. Two patients have also been taken to the Military Hospital, Dehradun..."
Earlier in the day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited a hospital in Uttarkashi to meet people affected by the recent natural disaster. During his visit, he enquired about their well-being and instructed doctors to ensure proper treatment for all victims.
Additionally, the Uttarakhand government informed ANI that 274 individuals, stranded in Gangotri and other areas, have been safely evacuated to Harshil. The group comprises 131 people from Gujarat, 123 from Maharashtra, 21 from Madhya Pradesh, 12 from Uttar Pradesh, 6 from Rajasthan, seven from Delhi, five from Assam, five from Karnataka, three from Telangana, and one from Punjab. All are reported safe and are being transported to Uttarkashi or Dehradun.
Furthermore, according to the Uttarakhand Police, the people rescued under the Uttarkashi Disaster Relief Operation were brought from Harshil to Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, on Thursday by Chinook helicopter. Medical check-ups are being conducted for all the evacuees at the airport.
Relief and rescue operations are continuing on a war footing, with the joint efforts from the Uttarakhand Police, SDRF, Army, ITBP and other relief agencies. (ANI)
