3 electrocuted to death in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari

Thiruvattar Police said they have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the October 3 incident in which a woman and her two children died.

Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 4 (ANI): Three members of a family were electrocuted to death near Attoor in Kanyakumari district, police said.
Thiruvattar Police said they have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the October 3 incident in which a woman and her two children died.
"Last night three people were electrocuted to death near Attoor of Kanyakumari district. Last evening, a street light's electric wire fell on the adjacent building wall on which a person kept his hand. Noticing this, his mother and sister tried to save him. All three got electrocuted and died," said Thiruvattar Police.
Meanwhile Kanyakumari has been witnessing continuous rain for the past few days. Personnel of fire and rescue services have been deployed in the district in the wake of incessant rainfall. Schools in the city were closed for the second day yesterday.
Earlier the India Meteorological Department had predicted that the northeast monsoon over the southern peninsular region, including Tamil Nadu, will be normal to above normal in October. (ANI)
