Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 27 (ANI): PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday held a roadshow at Mendhar Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. She is contesting from the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat going to polls on May 7 in the third phase of general elections.

In a message on her social media platform X, She said, "Overwhelmed by the love & affection of people who welcomed me despite heavy rains. Jeet humari Inshallah (If God wills)".
"Road show at Mendhar, Poonch. We forge ahead," the former Chief Minister said in another post.
Earlier in the week during a road show in Anantnag district, she said, "This election is not a battle between PDP and National Conference, but a bid to raise the voice against jobs being captured".
The PDP chief on April 19 released the party's manifesto for the 2024 general elections, "vowing to empower women and youth".
Polling for the Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency was held during phase 1 on April 19 and for Jammu it was held during second phase on April 26.
Polling for Srinagar, and Baramulla Lok Sabha constituencies would be held on May 13, and May 20 respectively.
In 2019, polling for the Lok Sabha was held for six seats in Jammu and Kashmir. However, following the abrogation of Article 370, which resulted in the split of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state into two Union Territories--Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, there is no longer a separate Lok Sabha constituency for Ladakh.
In the 2019 elections, the BJP won three seats while the National Conference won the remaining three. The counting of votes and results will be declared on June 4.
The PDP and NC, despite being allies in the opposition alliance INDIA bloc, have decided to go solo in the Lok Sabha elections in the Jammu and Kashmir.
The general elections are being held in seven phases in a six week marathon ending on June 27. Polling for the first phase and the second phase was held on April 19 and April 26, respectively.
The first phase of polling was held on April 19 and the second phase on April 26. The next round of voting will be held on May 7.
The counting and results will be declared on June 4.(ANI)
