2019 polls: Congress launches Shakti App in Karnataka

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 28 (ANI): The Congress on Saturday launched the Shakti App in Karnataka for better booth management. This is in preparation for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 28 (ANI): The Congress on Saturday launched the Shakti App in Karnataka for better booth management. This is in preparation for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
While launching the Shakti App which is meant to interact with booth level workers and also, to get feedback from them, former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said, "There is a little battle in every booth. You have to win every booth. We must have enough people present at all the booths. So, it is absolutely important to micromanage every booth of a constituency."
Scripting the roadmap for the coming general elections, Chidambaram urged party workers to put their best foot forward in the membership enrolment drive. He said, "Congress party workers must first enroll people close to us, like our sons, daughters, our friends and immediate neighbours. Massive enrollment must take place," Chidambaram added.
Asserting that more the enrolment would help in better booth management, Chidambaram said, "We must have enough people who have their feet on the ground in every booth."
The Shakti App is a special project designed under the direction of Congress president Rahul Gandhi to help strengthen the organisation.
Through the App, it would also become easy for party workers to share videos, pictures and other documents, and empower each individual workers to give his suggestion to the party president.
Last month, the Shakti App was launched in Hyderabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda and others. (ANI)
