2-year-old boy dies after drowning in swimming pool in Delhi's Gadaipur area

The police said that on Wednesday, the deceased's father was working in the park along with his co-worker and his son Divyansh was also playing there. After some time, he saw that his son was not there, and later he found him in the swimming pool.

New Delhi [India], September 9 (ANI): A two-year-old boy died allegedly after drowning in a swimming pool in south Delhi's Gadaipur area, police said.
According to the police, the deceased child has been identified as Divyansh.
The police said that they received information around 7.50 pm on Wednesday that Divyansh was admitted to AIIMS after he drowned in the swimming pool.
"The incident took place in the pool of a house at farm number 10 in Gadaipur, New Delhi, where the deceased's father has been working as a caretaker for the last four to five months and also resides with family in the same house", police added.
The police said that on Wednesday, the deceased's father was working in the park along with his co-worker and his son Divyansh was also playing there. After some time, he saw that his son was not there, and later he found him in the swimming pool.
"Sandeep admitted his son to AIIMS Hospital, where his son was declared dead on Thursday after treatment. A case under Section 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered", the police added.
Further investigation into the matter is underway. (ANI)
