2 terrorist killed in Nowgam encounter

Nowgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Mar 29 (ANI): Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces on Friday morning in Nowgam area of Jammu and Kashmir, said police.

Nowgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Mar 29 (ANI): Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces on Friday morning in Nowgam area of Jammu and Kashmir, said police.
According to police, both the terrorists were identified as Ali and Idrees, affiliated to Jaish-E-Mohammad (JeM), the banned terrorist organisation.
Police said that they were wanted by law for their complicity in a series of terror crimes including the attack on security establishments and civilian atrocities.
"Several terror crime cases were registered against both terrorists," said the police.
Security forces have recovered arms and ammunition including rifles from the encounter site.
Citizens have been requested not to get inside the encounter zone until the area is completely cleared off all explosive materials.
Police and security forces in the morning undertook a search operation and cordoned the area to trace terrorists in Sutsoo Kalan of Nowgam in the outskirts of Srinagar, based on credible inputs.
Meanwhile, the security forces were fired upon by the hidden terrorists. The security forces retaliated in which both the terrorists were killed.
Further investigation is underway. (ANI)
