175 SpiceJet passengers stuck in Chhattisgarh's Raipur after flight makes precautionary landing

Manish Dhuppad from the Chhattisgarh Mini Steel Plant Association warned that the situation might worsen, affecting production costs and prices.

According to an AIR India Express Spokesperson, "We confirm that our Hyderabad-Phuket flight on 11 March experienced an issue with the nose wheel at Phuket Airport. The crew followed all standard protocols, and guests were deplaned. We thank our guests, the Phuket airport authorities, and all stakeholders for their cooperation."

In an advisory, SpiceJet said, "Dear Customer, due to operational reasons, your SpiceJet flight SG 263 from Delhi has been revised. Here are the updated details: SG 263, 10 Mar 26, Delhi (Terminal 1D) - Kolkata (Terminal 2), 0940 hrs - 1200 hrs. For flight changes, itinerary updates."

The flight had taken a longer route over Africa to avoid conflict zones but made a U-turn near the Ethiopia-Eritrea border and headed back to Delhi, landing at around 2:30 PM. This resulted in a 14-hour journey that ended where it began.

Japan Embassy's Minister for Political Affairs, Abe Noriaki, paid a courtesy call on Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at the Chief Minister's office in Vidhan Sabha premises on Monday.
