14 Naxals killed in Sukma

Sukma (Chhattisgarh) [India], August 06 (ANI): As many as 15 Naxals have been gunned down so far and four Naxals apprehended from the encounter site in Sukma, in possession of seven country-made weapons.

Sukma (Chhattisgarh) [India], August 06 (ANI): As many as 15 Naxals have been gunned down so far and four Naxals apprehended from the encounter site in Sukma, in possession of seven country-made weapons.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh also congratulated the security forces for successfully conducting the search operations near Sukma's Gonta and Golapalli police limits.
"It was a big, successful, and clean operation. The forces were in the jungle for the past two days, it's definitely a big success for the police forces," he said.
Furthermore, Special Director General of Anti-Naxal Operations said apart from the Naxals gunned down, an area committee member (ACM) with a bounty of Rs 5 lakh was arrested along with a female Naxal.
“We had info of 20-25 people to be in the camp, 1 more operation is underway in the interior area of Sukma," he added.
Apart from the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also congratulated the Chhattisgarh Police on their successful operations.
The encounter broke out earlier this morning when the police patrol party was carrying out a search operation in the area. (ANI)
