Anti-Tobacco campaigner registers name in Limca Book of Records

Bhubaneshwar (Odisha) [India], Feb 9 (ANI): An ‘Anti-tobacco talk’ by Mohammad Imran Ali on Community Radio aired in 19 states got a place in Limca Book of Records 2019 on Friday.

Bhubaneshwar (Odisha) [India], Feb 9 (ANI): An ‘Anti-tobacco talk’ by Mohammad Imran Ali on Community Radio aired in 19 states got a place in Limca Book of Records 2019 on Friday.
Mohammad Imran Ali delivered the talk on ‘World No Tobacco Day’ which covered topics like the harmful impact of tobacco, pre-cancer lessons, the process of giving up tobacco etc.
Ali said, "I feel every child should experience a tobacco-free childhood that is their right. There is a law called Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) which prohibits the sale of tobacco to and by minors but due to its poor implementation many children still sell tobacco products.”
He has been campaigning against tobacco products for the last 12 years. He has been conducting awareness campaigns across the country and has also campaigned for the cause in Nepal and Indonesia. (ANI)
