Pak will face pressure from international community if it doesn't re-consider Kulbhushan's case: BJP
Mumbai [India], Apr 15 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday came down heavily on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz for his statement against Kulbhushan Jadhav and asserted that the international world community will bring pressure upon Islamabad if it did not re-look in to the matter. BJP leader Shaina NC told ANI that Aziz, who is claiming that Pakistan followed adequate norms while prosecuting Jadhav, did not even provide a legitimate council to the latter. "I would like to ask Mr. Sartaz what norms has he followed? He has not even given a legitimate lawyer to Jadhav ji to present his case. And what honesty is Pakistan talking about? When you are giving death sentence to somebody who is not a spy who has led his whole life fighting for India," said Shaina. "I think we need to understand that if Pakistan does not re-look at the verdict the international world community will bring pressure upon Pakistan," she added. Aziz yesterday shared the state's chargesheet against alleged Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav and a timeline of his trial. His comments came at a press briefing on Friday following backlash from India post the death penalty to Jadhav. "Kulbushan Jhadav, who is responsible for espionage, sabotage and terrorism in Pakistan, has been tried according to the law of the land in a fully transparent manner while preserving his rights as per the Constitution of Pakistan. Due process has been followed while proceeding against Jadhav. All further action in this regard shall also be taken in accordance with our laws," claimed Aziz. (ANI)
