New Delhi [India], June 22 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj (EAM) on Thursday said that India diaspora living in ASEAN countries recognises the salience of fostering ties between New Delhi and the nations of the association. Swaraj speaking at the keynote address on ASEAN-India partnership said, "Large and vibrant Indian diaspora in ASEAN countries, recognize salience of further fostering of deep historical and cultural linkages." In an event celebrating 25 years of multi-faceted ASEAN India partnership, Swaraj further stressed on reinforcing the partnership further. Earlier this year, on the occasion of 25th anniversary of country's relationship with 10-nation ASEAN grouping, Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly pitched for Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), while asserting that they will further strengthen cooperation and economic integration in the region.
