Congress has now become 'history', says Vinay Katiyar
New Delhi [India], Mar. 17 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Katiyar on Friday insisted that no matter how many structural and organizational changes the Congress brings in as suggested by its top brass, the grand old party would never be able to revive as they have become 'history' now. "It is their internal matter whether to want to bring in structural changes in their party or not. It is for them to think. But one thing is sure that whatever Congress does, they will never again come back to power. Congress has now become history. There's nothing left for them now," Katiyar told ANI. "They will also lose their governments in one or two states where they are in power at present," he added. Following the crushing defeats in the recently concluded assembly polls in five states, senior Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Priya Dutt had suggested of bringing in structural and organizational changes in order to revive the grand old party. Priya, the former MP, said that Congress was suffering an 'auto immune disease' and that everyone within it should try to rebuild the organisation. "Cong has shown repeatedly that it suffers from an autoimmune disease... Cong destroys Cong... We need to be treated from within to be healthy again," she tweeted. (ANI)
