BJP is only 'viable' option available for voters: MoS PMO
New Delhi [India], Apr 26 (ANI): Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh, on Wednesday, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the only 'viable' option available for the voters to put their trust on. Talking to ANI, Singh said it is under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah that the voters securely placed their votes for the growth and development of the state. "I think BJP is the only viable option available for the voter today, under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi and Shri Amit Shah. It is under their leadership that the voters securely placed their votes and future stakes for growth and development," he said. Adding, "As far as the BJP workers are concerned, we are absolutely humbled and it is an occasion for us to dedicate ourselves to the kind of responsibilities that have been given to us. I would also particularly thank the voters of Delhi and Delhi east." Criticising the Aam Aadmi Party, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said winning and losing is a part of the democracy and one must accept the people's mandate with maturity. "In the MCD elections, historic win of BJP is very remarkable. This is directly a victory because of our economic policies and leadership of Narendra Modi ji. It is a great achievement for the party. It is a victory of development. I would like to thank the voter of Delhi for showing faith in BJP. This is a big win for us. I am confident that our party will fulfill the dreams of the people of Delhi," he said. Echoing similar sentiments, BJP leader Meenakshi lekhi thanked the people of Delhi for showing faith in the party. "I can only credit the voters of Delhi for supporting BJP and having faith in the party and in the coming time, I also appeal that every sector of the government have to do its own job. Instead of competing for the wrong issues, they should compete for the right issues. Voters in Delhi are sensitive and smart and if that sensitivity is lost, it is going to cause a big harm to the people concerned," she said The early trend of the counting for MCD, which began earlier today, shows the BJP in the lead, followed by the ruling AAP at the second place and the Congress at the third. Voting for three new municipal corporations in Delhi took place on Sunday, in which, 54 percent of the 1.32 crore electorates exercised their franchise. However, the polling did not take place in two wards, Maujpur in east Delhi and Sarai Pipal Thala in north Delhi, where two candidates from the Samajwadi Party, died.(ANI)
