Get 360-degree view of hotel prior booking

New Delhi [India], Apr. 20 (ANI): Summers are here, which means it's time to head off for a vacation. It has been observed that booking accommodation remains the most crucial part of a holiday, with many factors to consider such as proximity to the city centre, view from the room, and so on. However, a new feature will now help travelers get a 360-degree view of their room before bookings can be made.

Cleartrip, an online platform for travel and leisure experiences, launched a new 360-degree image feature for hotels listed on its online platform. With this feature, users on the platform can now check out every inch of the hotel's rooms and suites before they travel, be assured of its quality and also validate all the advertised features of the hotel to take an informed decision.

The content is optimised for mobile and is accessible on-the-go. Hotel-360 presents a simple way to verify every inch of the hotel's rooms and suites before travel and be assured of its quality.

Following the soft launch of the 360-degree feature, many hotels that partnered with Cleartrip have seen considerably higher booking confirmations. They have also witnessed a growth rate of 100 percent, year-on-year in terms of engagement.

"Over the years, we have observed that a majority of hotel customers use visual content to validate a particular hotel's features, amenities, and reviews. Only when they are convinced that what they see is what they will get do they ultimately proceed to make a booking for that property. With sufficient data, we decided to help make this process simpler and more efficient for both customers, as well as our partners. While on one hand, value-conscious customers will be able to have a comprehensive view of a hotel's offerings, our partners will be able to enhance their property's attractiveness in the minds of customers, and thus, drive greater engagement and bookings," said Suman De, Director of Product - Accommodation, Activities and Platforms.

As per recent data, around 40 percent of the users on Cleartrip make the decision to book a particular hotel based on images. The 360-degree feature will further enable Cleartrip and its partner hotels to effectively deliver superior value to customers through high-quality content. (ANI)

Progressive Indian cuisine: Avant-garde or deja vu

New Delhi [India], July 14 (ANI): It was more than a decade ago when the words 'contemporary' Indian, 'progressive' Indian or 'avant-garde' Indian were first heard. In the context of food the trend setter was Manish Malhotra, who opened the doors of his restaurant - the Indian Accent - then housed in a small boutique hotel in the Capital called The Manor. Indian Accent was promoted by Rohit Khattar a restaurateur with innovative ideas who had trained in the US. Even earlier, he had created a buzz with his unique eatery 'Chor Bizarre' where everything was deliberately and deliciously mismatched.
