New Delhi [India], Jan. 23 (ANI): BharatMatrimony recently conducted a matchmaking survey to find out what people look for when searching for a life partner, in which 13,859 participants shared their opinions.

Survey finds what men, women look for in their life partner
New Delhi [India], Jan. 23 (ANI): BharatMatrimony recently conducted a matchmaking survey to find out what people look for when searching for a life partner, in which 13,859 participants shared their opinions. When asked "how important are looks" while choosing a partner, surprisingly, 87% of females who were looking to get married soon, said it's important, while 93% men opined looks do matter. 53% women said they prefer a professionally qualified partner (Engineering/ Medicine/ MBA/ Others). However, only 17% of men were looking for a professionally qualified bride, while 23% were fine with a graduate and 54% did not indicate any preference. 65% girls were looking for a partner with age difference of upto four years while 54% men preferred upto four years and a significant 26% men preferred "above five years". A majority of women, i.e. 61%, said they expected men to help with household chores, while 38% said it's not mandatory. For 62% of men, partner's willingness to relocate to another city was an important consideration while marrying. Launching the survey results, Kaushik Tiwari, Head Marketing at Matrimony.com says, "This survey is part of our endeavour to study consumer insights and continuously improve our understanding and thereby our offering."
