'Tis the season of metallic colours
New Delhi [India], Dec. 16 (ANI): Pantone may just be the colour of 2017, but when you talk about the Christmas season, its metallic colors all the way! This festive season invites metallic home decor in a variety of colours like copper, bronze, rose gold, silver etc. These colours are just what you need to add shimmer and give a festive look to your home that your friends, family and guests will be raving about for months. Mahima Singh, Interior Designer at Furlenco, tells you how you can pump up the sparkle in your home and make it look like a million bucks for the festive season. Don't you worry about over-doing it, cause it's never "too-much" with metallic shades. The most attractive thing about these colors is that they can be paired with just about any other colour available under the sky. So you wouldn't have a problem in matching it with any furniture in your room. Metallic colours complement whites, blues, browns, coral, teal, grey etc. They also help to add a hint of a vintage and traditional look which is perfect for Christmas. Metallic colours can be infused in gifts to give your loved ones for this festive season; right from the wrapping paper to the objects like Christmas tree decorations, candle holders, photo frames, vases etc. To begin with, you may place the metallic decor/ furniture in places around your house that don't attract a lot of attention, but enough to give you a sense of whether the palette is giving out the right vibes for your home. Preferably, start off with objects like kitchen accessories, lamps, pillows, vases, mirrors in metallic shades like bronze, copper, brass, gold etc. If you are comfortable with that, it would be safe to try on for larger objects like chandeliers, clocks, wallpapers. This will definitely make your home look festive, inviting and will give it an abundance of warmth. (ANI)
