New Delhi (India), Apr 4 (ANI): A recent post has garnered immense love and appreciation for a little boy’s innocent act of rushing a hurt chick to the hospital in Mizoram.
The post was shared on Facebook by a user ‘Sanga Says’ explaining the incident.
“This young boy from Sairang, Mizoram, accidentally ran over his neighbour’s chicken with his cycle. He took the chicken, ran to the nearest hospital and with all the money he had, asked for help. (I’m laughing and crying all at the same time)”.

According to reports, Derek C Lachhanhima came home crying and begged his parents to take it to the hospital. His father asked him to go himself and he did it with all the money he had.
The nurse at the hospital fell for the boy’s innocence and clicked a picture of him holding just a ten rupee note in his right hand and the chick in the other.
Derek came back home sobbing and vowing to save the chick. His parents told him that the chick is dead and there is nothing that can be done now, reports stated.
This little act of kindness had people head over heels. The post has gone viral and has been shared over 87,000 times.
Seeing this act of tenderness, Derek’s school St Pio, in Sairang, Aizawl, awarded him with a certificate of appreciation on Thursday. (ANI)
