#AIFW17: Ashima Leena showcases 'Charukesha' on Day 3

New Delhi [India], Mar. 18 (ANI): Designer Ashima Leena conjured an opulent twist by interweaving motifs that adorn the architectural realms of Khiva in the Autumn - Winter 2017 collection, titled Charukesha, which was showcased on Day three of Amazon India Fashion Week. The designer gave birth to a dimension of modernism that was captured through delicately sculptured skirts, quaint pashmina blouses, tribal gilets, asymmetric kurtas and deftly composed sarees that were juxtaposed with scaled metal details, luxe stone embellishments and appliques painstakingly crafted to mark an excursion of patterns overlaid with yards of French tulle. According to Ashima Leena, "Charukesha is a manifestation of the continuous, an anthology of the monumental and the majestic." The four-day fashion gala that ends on March 18, is being held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here. (ANI)
