Stars shine bright as 'white' takes over at #CriticsChoice awards

Washington D.C. [U.S.A], January 12 (ANI): Golden Globes kicked off the 2018 award season in style and it is quickly being followed by another big star-studded event honouring the best in movies and television  - Critics` Choice Awards.

The celebs have descended on the 'blue carpet' at this year's event and just like always, there were many pretty dresses worn by the stars.

Leading the way was none other than actress Angelina Jolie, who wore a strapless white gown with feathered detailing and an asymmetrical hemline, reports E! Online.

The 42-year-old paired her look with chunky diamond earrings, crimson lipstick and suede strappy cream heels.

The 'Maleficent' star was not alone in donning 'white' at the event as actresses like Diane Kruger and Emma Roberts joined her in white frocks.

Meanwhile, Jessica Chastain, who is nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in 'Molly's Game,' chose a loose fitting pleated green dress with a cut out detail on the front and back.

The host Olivia Munn looked red hot in her floor-length gown featuring silver accents along her torso. 'Game of Thrones' actress Emilia Clarke and 'Big Little Lies' actress Reese Witherspoon, both went for polka dot dresses.

'Wonder Woman' actress Gal Gadot, who will be honoured with #SeeHer award at the ceremony and is also up for Best Movie Actress in an Action movie, indeed looked like a princess (of Themyscira) in a shimmering silver sequined gown. She completed her look with Gianvito Rossi heels.

The 23rd annual Critics Choice Awards are being handed out at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. (ANI)
