Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner make red carpet debut as newlyweds at Met Gala 2019

Washington D.C. [USA], May 7 (ANI): Five days after tying the knot, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas made their first red carpet appearance as a married couple at the 2019 Met Gala.
For the star-studded 'Camp: Notes on Fashion' themed event, Sophie wore a sequin embellished custom Louis Vuitton two piece that looked like a jumpsuit, reported People.
"Her body looks insane in it. She kind of looks like a superhero. She's not so much a gown person, though she wears them on occasion, so a jumpsuit look suits her," Turner's stylist Kate Young told People.
While Joe colour coordinated with his beloved wife in a black ensemble that featured multi-coloured details.
"Joe has his own style. But yes, they like to coordinate. They tend to do that," Young said.
Joe and Sophie looked so in love as they ascended the iconic steps at the Met Gala. The couple posed for the cameras and showed off their matching ensembles. The Met Gala was a family affair for the Joe, as his brother Nick Jonas was also seen in attendance with his wife Priyanka Chopra, marking their first appearance as a married couple at the Met Gala.
After performing the new Jonas Brothers hit single 'Sucker' with bandmates Nick and Kevin at the Billboard Music Awards, Jonas and Turner headed to Chapel L'Amour inside A Little White Wedding Chapel. Inside, country stars Dan + Shay serenaded the ceremony with an acoustic version of their song 'Speechless' as Sophie walked down the aisle.
Nick and Kevin served as Joe's groomsmen and an Elvis impersonator officiated the wedding ceremony. American DJ Diplo was the first one to break the news on social media. He posted a series of Instagram stories from the private ceremony.
However, the two still intend on throwing a traditional wedding ceremony later this summer, a source told People.
"They had to get married in the States to make it legal, but the wedding is still in Europe," the insider said.
The couple started dating in November 2016. After dating for a while, the couple decided to take their relationship to the next level and announced their engagement in October 2017.
Sophie confirmed the news with an Instagram post, flaunting her engagement ring. "I said yes," she wrote as the caption. (ANI)
