Year-long beach party in Europe

London [U.K.], Feb. 5 (ANI): A seaside resort town in the Netherlands is having a year-long beach party for the entirety of 2018.

The year-long event is to mark the 200th birthday of the resort town of Scheveningen in the Netherlands.

There are many interesting events planned out for the whole year including a sand art project, sand sculpting championship, fireworks festival, beach race, various music festivals, and such.

The European sea town will see tons of live performances and art exhibitions scattered throughout the year.

The second centennial was kicked off with a blast of cold in the town. More than 10,000 people stripped down and took a dip in the ice-cold water of North Sea for the annual New Year's Dive. (ANI)
