Pt. Rajan, Sajan Mishra, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan enthrall music lovers

New Delhi [India], Dec 4 (ANI): Vocalists Pt Rajan and Sajan Mishra enthralled the audiences with their mesmerizing voice on the concluding day of Indian Classical dance and music festival in New Delhi.

The two-day event at Nehru Park was organised by Airports Authority of India, in collaboration with Spic Macay, with an aim to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of India.

The event was graced by many noted personalities from the capital city including Rajiv Nayan Choubey, Secretary for Civil Aviation and Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, Chairman of Airports Authority of India.

Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan made the evening memorable with his soulful performance. He dedicated the concert to the queen of 'thumri' Girija Devi, who passed away on October 24 this year.

"I would like to dedicate this concert to Girja Devi ji. Her music had colour and fragrance. She was the only lady, who tied rakhi on my hand. She was my elder sister and we will always remember her," Khan said.

The Airports Authority of India organises such cultural events to promote classical and folk culture of the country. (ANI)
