London [England], November 25 (ANI): Defending her ex and 'Gossip Girl' co-star Ed Westwick, American actress Jessica Szohr said she was not ready to believe that the man she loved would ever sexually assault someone.

Jessica Szohr can't believe sexual assault allegations against Ed Westwick

The 32-year-old said that she has known Ed for years and he is a "lovely" person.

"I don't think he would ever put someone in a position like that," Szohr stated, Cosmopolitan, when asked about the accusations recently levied against her ex.

The 'Internship' star, who dated the 'Wicked City' star when they co-starred on the 'Gossip Girl.'

This month, three women have accused the 30-year-old, Westwick, of sexual assaulting them in 2014.

However, the actor has adamantly denied the claims.

Westwick and Szohr dated for three years before splitting in April 2010. (ANI)
