Kashmir (Jammu and Kashmir), Oct 7 (ANI): A month-long exhibition has been organised in Jammu and Kashmir for the promotion and revival of Khadi products.

Kashmir (Jammu and Kashmir), Oct 7 (ANI): A month-long exhibition has been organised in Jammu and Kashmir for the promotion and revival of Khadi products.
The exhibition, which started on September 18, has been organised by Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) at Kashmir Haat.
The purpose of this exhibition is not only giving an impetus to the Khadi and Village Industries Sector but to also provide a platform for the budding and potential entrepreneurs of the state.
Almost 200 stalls of Khadi and Village Industry units, established under Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP) and Khadi Institutions from across the country have been set up at the exhibition.
Rashid Qadri, secretary and chief executive officer of Khadi Village Board, Jammu and Kashmir, said, "In today's exhibition we have set up 200 stalls and a lot of these belongs to our unitholders from other states."
Sushant Kumar, one of the participants said, "This is the first time I have come to Kashmir from Jharkhand, I am getting to see a lot of things that are not there in Jharkhand. People are very friendly here. " (ANI)
