Google doodle pays homage to Marga Faulstich

New Delhi [India], June 6 (ANI): Google has dedicated its doodle to German glass chemist, Marga Faulstich. The homage came on the Faulstich's 103rd birthday.

New Delhi [India], June 6 (ANI): Google has dedicated its doodle to German glass chemist, Marga Faulstich. The homage came on the Faulstich's 103rd birthday.
Born in 1915, Faulstich has 40 patents in her name. She was the first woman executive at Schott AG, an international manufacturing group of glass and glass-ceramics. During her tenure at the organisation, she worked on more than 300 types of optical glasses.
She received international recognition in 1973 for inventing light SF 64 lens. After retiring, she took to travelling and giving lectures at glass conferences.
She died at the age of 82 on February 01, 1998. (ANI)
