Washington D.C. [USA], Mar 31 (ANI): Dr Simon Ourian, the go-to cosmetic dermatologist for the entire Kardashian family, shared at-home skincare tips people can follow as they practice social distancing.
According to Page Six, Ourian has closed his Epione practice in Beverly Hills and ceased home visits because of the virus, however the doctor recommended four products for everyone including a good cleanser, a lot of moisturising hydration, an eye cream or serum and a mild fruit acid peel once a month.
"Doing gentle skin routines not only has an aesthetic affect for your skin but also is meditative and a good distraction for this time," Dr Simon said.
He also stressed that maintaining a healthy dose of meditation, relaxation and positive vibes during stressful and anxious days is paramount to health from the inside out.
Dr Ourian cautioned against obsessively scrubbing, especially with abrasive products. "Be very gentle with your skin."
A humidifier is another essential tool, not only for your lungs, but also for your complexion. "Most air conditioners and heaters are very drying. Therefore it is essential that you have a humidifier next to your bed and also in the rest of the house during this time," Dr Ourian added.
Further stressing on how an at-home workout is important, he explained that, "Any type of cardio exercise brings a higher amount of oxygenated blood to your skin. Your skin needs this oxygen and extra nourishment to build itself and get a new production of collagen and elastin, which is the key to more balanced, healthy-looking skin." (ANI)
