United Nations launches coronavirus-themed campaign for International Day Of Happiness

New Delhi [India], Mar 20 (ANI): As the outbreak of novel coronavirus is affecting both physical and mental health of individuals across the globe, United Nations International Day of Happiness on Friday launched the campaign theme for this year dedicated to uniting humanity and winning the fight against the global pandemic.

New Delhi [India], Mar 20 (ANI): As the outbreak of novel coronavirus is affecting both physical and mental health of individuals across the globe, United Nations International Day of Happiness on Friday launched the campaign theme for this year dedicated to uniting humanity and winning the fight against the global pandemic.
Through the campaign - 'Happiness For All, Together'- the organisation urges all 206 nations and territories on the planet to fight the tough times together by following the 'ten steps to global happiness.'
"Join us and lets #FlattenTheCurve and end the COVID 19 coronavirus threat to humanity by spreading and celebrating #happiness on the 2020 #InternationalDayOfHappiness," read a statement by the organisation.
The ten steps to be followed are: -
1. Lets Stick Together
2. Follow World Health Organization Advice
3. Virtually Attend A World Happiness Event
4. Stay Social Online
5. Be Kind And Share
6. Stay Active And Mindful
7. Stay Optimistic, Positive, And Resilient
8. Stay Informed About Facts And News, Avoid Myths
9. Enjoy Nature And The Environment By Getting Outside
10. Happytalism: Think About Systemic Change We Can Make So This Never Happens Again
"A pandemic drives home the essential interconnectedness of our human family. I'm deeply moved by the acts of kindness, generosity, and solidarity happening around the world in the face of COVID 19," said UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
"We are in this together - and we will get through this together," he added.
The ten steps to global happiness challenge is an annual practice by the United Nations International Day of Happiness where the organisation shares steps to tackle the contemporary global issues every year.
International Day of Happiness is celebrated every year on March 20.
This year's challenge has been dedicated to defeating COVID-19 and achieving global happiness.
According to the World Health Organisation, coronavirus has claimed over 9800 lives globally. (ANI)
