These tips may help you become your own stress buster

New Delhi [India], Nov 2 (ANI): Stress, which is one of the major factors that is adversely affecting people both mentally and physically, if it is not treated at an early stage, then it can lead to depression.

The most common outcomes of stress are lack of concentration, irritation, body aches and headaches, drastic change in appetite and mood swings.

However, stress can be managed with these simple tips, as suggested by Dr. Hariprasad, Research Associate (R&D) at the Himalaya Drug Company.

Identifying the cause of stress:

Spend some time with yourself to understand the root cause of stress. Jot down the causes and plan your course of action accordingly, this will help you plan your action to manage stress.

Look for Herbal Solutions:

You can start including herbal supplements in your daily diet. According to ayurveda research and modern texts, 'Ashwagandha' herb is known for its rejuvenating properties that helps in maintaining a healthy balance between the nervous system, endocrine glands and immune system thus, reducing the harmful effects of long-term stress on our body.

Exercise regularly:

You can visit the nearest Yoga center or Gym or go for small walks regularly as it will relieve stress and rejuvenate your body. Also, try meditating for few minutes which will help you in calming your mind. Deep breathing exercises will relax body muscles and make you stress-free.

Eat healthy food:

There is a direct connection between the level of your stress and diet. Stress eating is very common and we tend to over eat junk food. Always try and avoid sugary, fatty snacks and choose fruits and vegetables when you are stressed. Fish with high levels of omega-3 fatty acids has also proved to reduce stress levels.

Maintain a regular sleep cycle pattern: A person needs seven to nine hours of sleep daily, maintaining regular sleeping cycle will fight the daily battles in a better and calmer way.
