Wanted to tell everyone that women can achieve anything in their lives: Poorna Malavath
New Delhi [India], Mar.22 (ANI): On May 25 2014, a 13 year-old girl named, Poorna Malavath became the youngest girl to summit Mount Everest and the rest is history. During a recent event, when asked about what gave her the strength to succeed, she said, "I wanted to tell everyone that women can achieve anything in their lives." In its efforts to create encouraging environment for women, IndiGo, Raay Media and Rahul Bose Productions conducted a unique conclave with 'Ladkiyan Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hain' as its theme. The co-producer of 'Poorna', Amit Patni, Founder of Raay Media Pvt Ltd said, "Normally film promotions are big on celebrity quotient and low on content, but the 'Ladkiyan Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hain' conclave is big on both, celebrity quotient AND content! To have four of India's most illustrious achievers share the same stage and to hear theirs as well as the inspirational stories of the girls and women in IndiGo' REACH initiative - this is the perfect mix of celebrity power and substance. We are proud to be partners in this event." With Rahul Bose moderating, the conclave brought together distinguished women personalities from different fraternities including Zoya Akhtar, Barkha Dutt, Sakshi Malik and Poorna Malavath, who talked about their journeys, triumphs and difficulties. Commenting on the conclave, Rahul Bose, Director and Producer of 'Poorna' said, "When our partners IndiGo shared with us the wonderful work they were doing towards empowering women, we knew we had a great chance to tie in what Poorna said after she summitted with the wonderful work IndiGo is doing. And what better way to make this line come alive than to hear real life stories of both, women starting on their life journeys as well as women who have experienced the greatest success in their professions. Further adding, "Personally I really enjoyed chatting with Riya, Yashaswini, Priyanka and Sneha from IndiGo whose stories are a real indicator of what women can achieve. Hearing the incredible journeys of Zoya, Barkha, Sakshi and Poorna was truly a learning experience and understanding of how women on top get out there to show the world what they are capable of!" The film highlights the cause of gender inequality and inspires to achieve dreams against all odds. The movie is helmed by Rahul Bose, produced by Rahul Bose Productions, Raay Media Pvt Ltd and Co-produced by Amit Patni. The flick is slated to release on March 31. (ANI)
