Soldiers are real heroes, actors are trivial: Nana Patekar on MNS ban
New Delhi [India], Oct. 3 (ANI): Expressing his stringent take over the ban on Pakistani artists, Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has stood in full support of the Indian Army and said that for him the country is at foremost priority. "First stands my country, I don't know anyone beyond my country neither would I want to know. An artist is very small in front of the country," said the 65-year-old actor. He also said that the soldiers are the real heroes and actors hold very little significance in front of them. "I was in army and I have spent two and half years there. So I know who our biggest heroes are. No one can be a bigger hero than our srmy men. Our original heroes are our jawans." Even since the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) imposed the ban on Pakistani actor, the entertainment industry is standing divided over whether it is right or not. From superstar Salman Khan coming in support of Pakistani actors to veteran actor Anupam Kher condemning the artists for backing terror state Pakistan, several artists have voiced their opinion. Referring to those, who voiced a contrary opinion to his, the 'Apharan' star said, "I am talking about those people only. They don't have the status to comment on these issues." For the unversed, MNS' s ultimatum was following the terrorist attack at Uri district of Jammu and Kashmir that killed 19 Indian Army soldiers. (ANI)
