Mumbai: Sonakshi being wooed to perform at Justin Bieber's concert

Mumbai [India], Mar. 13 (ANI): After enthralling audiences at the recently concluded Global Citizen event where she shared stage presence with Coldplay and JayZ, it has been confirmed that Bollywood's multi-faceted diva Sonakshi Sinha is being wooed to perform as one of the opening acts at the highly anticipated Justin Bieber Purpose Tour scheduled for May 10th at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Sonakshi, who has always been vocal about appreciation for the Grammy winning artist, is currently working on a new single and intends to launch it at the Purpose Tour which is being pegged as the most epic act in the history of live entertainment in India. "I'm really fond of Justin Bieber's music and I love how his sound has evolved over the years and today he reaches out to a universal fanbase. I'm definitely looking forward to this event," Sonakshi said. "Yes we are looking at very innovative opening acts for the Bieber concert and we would love to have Sonakshi to be a part of it. It's too preliminary to confirm anything but the discussions are underway," said Arjun Jain, Director at White Fox India, the event management company handling Bieber's gig in Mumbai. Apart from India, Bieber's Asia leg of the tour comprises Tel Aviv in Israel and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The Canadian pop star is touring in support of his fourth studio album Purpose - which debuted at Number 1 in over 100 countries and has sold over 8 million copies worldwide. (ANI)
