Khiladi Kumar suggests government of developing an app to aid kin of slain soldiers
New Delhi [India], Jan. 28 (ANI): With the motive of helping the kin of slain Indian soldiers, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar met Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi at his North Block office here on Friday. Kumar proposed the idea of creating a special mobile app to help the families of these soldiers financially. According to Akshay's proposal, a mobile app can be developed that will allow donors to directly pay any amount into the verified bank account of any departed soldier's family. Akshay also spoke about providing better aid to people of the paramilitary and police forces. Reportedly, the 49-year-old actor spent nearly an hour at the North Block, wherein officials rushed to get a glimpse or selfie with the actor. Kumar has been vocal about issues related to defence. In the past he released a video condemning people who were asking for proof of the last year's surgical strike across the Line of Control. The actor's visit assumes significance in the wake of defence personnel voicing their grievances on social media. (ANI)
