By Shailja Shukla New Delhi [India], Apr. 06 (ANI): From megastar Amitabh Bachchan to tinsel town's sensational Priyanka Chopra, almost every leading star have lent their voices to films for decades. But slowly and steadily, it is becoming a norm in the cinema world for actors to record songs for their upcoming releases as acting skills won't work alone. Having a soothing voice and talent to sing is in fact a part of the 'X factor' nowadays. From Salman Khan to Shraddha Kapoor, actors have sung their songs and it has become a huge fad now. Joining the bandwagon is none other than drizzling Parineeti Chopra. The first song from actress upcoming film 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' is just mind blowing and the likings and viewers on You-Tube have been phenomenal. When asked the "Lunchbox" fame actress Nimrat Kaur about her singing debut, the latter said "Sure, you never no. I would not say no to that because I would love to able to sing." The actress, who has not only made her base strong in Bollywood but has also left her mark in Hollywood, is all set to explore something new and that too in a form of a web series. The 'Airlift' actress will soon be seen in a web series, titled 'The Test Case', which will be aired by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms' digital space initiative ALTBalaji. On asked to throw some light on her character, Nimrat said, "I am playing role of a first woman combat officer in the Indian Army. The role is very close to my heart as I come from an Army background." "As an army kid, you fantasize upon putting up the uniform someday, and then as an actor you get to fulfill your dream," Kaur added. The actress continued saying that her upcoming character is something she is deeply passionate and excited about. Nimrat was in the national capital along with former Indian captain Ravi Shastri during the launch of Audi's new A3 Sedan on Thursday.(ANI)
