Aamir Khan is happy to have son Azad through surrogacy
Mumbai, Aug. 16 (ANI): Aamir Khan recently admitted that he and wife Kiran Rao are happy to have their son Azad, now three-year-old, through surrogacy and asked people to be aware of it. "There was no difficulty, we both wanted to have a child. We were happy when Azad was born. We wanted to be clear about how we conceived the child. We did not do anything wrong and people should be aware of it. We are very happy that we gave birth to a child through IVF surrogacy," the actor told media here during a launch event of a fertility clinic yesterday. Further speaking about In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and surrogacy, the 51-year-old actor shared how parenthood changed his life. "It is such a joy to have a child in your life. It is something that really changes your life," he said. "When I had Junaid, my first child, it changed me and my life. But there are so many parents who are unable to have child," added the actor. For the unversed, the 'PK' star has two children- son Junaid and daughter Ira from his former wife Reena Dutta. Kiran Rao, who was also present at the event, said, "I am so humbled by the completeness Azad makes me feel." The event was also graced by new-daddy Tusshar Kapoor, who recently had a baby boy through surrogacy, and Farah Khan with her triplets. (ANI)
