'Blue Mountains' was an emotional experience for me: Ranvir Shorey

By Pallavi Soni New Delhi [India], April 06 (ANI): Actor Ranvir Shorey, who is gearing up for the release of his next film 'Blue Mountains', feels it was an emotional experience for him. In an exclusive conversation with ANI, Ranvir said, "There were plenty of scenes in the film that touched me on and off as an actor because they seemed so real, bringing out such vulnerability in you. And one of them was in the family dynamic that it explores when the son gets involved in the up and down roller coaster journey of his reality television show. There were times when there was a conflict between father and son, conflict between mother and son. So beyond all those conflicts, what it means is to be a family, to be deeply care for each other. There were moments which explored that and it was really quite an emotional experience for me." When asked what appealed him the most about the film, the 'Moh Maya Money' actor said, "What appealed me in 'Blue Mountains' was the fact that it has such a strong emotional core about family, about the age of reality television we live in, where people seek out shortcuts for everything, especially for fame and fortune. There were very relevant and touchy aspects, which the film addressed and I was immediately attracted towards it." <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bn7TapNUhDo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Adding on to this, he said, "It was also because I had just become a father about a year ago, so that paternal instinct was very active when I signed the film and that's what attracted me. On a related note, debutant Suman Ganguli directed 'Blue Mountains,' which has won several awards including 2016 Hyderabad Film Festival: 'Best Feature Film,' also stars Gracy Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Simran Sharma and Yatharth Ratnum in prominent roles. The film will hit the theatres tomorrow. (ANI)
