Washington D.C. [USA], Dec 03 (ANI): Seems like, Michelle Obama has a special place in her heart for the Bush family as she cancelled a few dates of her book tour for her autobiography titled 'Becoming', in order to attend former President George H.W. Bush's funeral this week.
The former First Lady recently took to her official Twitter handle to share the news.
"It's important to me to join the Bush family in celebrating President George H.W. Bush's exemplary life. This will, unfortunately, preclude my visits to Paris and Berlin. I've been deeply touched by the enthusiasm for my memoir, and I'm working to reschedule my trip for next year," she wrote in her tweet.
"I hope readers and ticket holders will understand my decision regarding my desire to attend President Bush's funeral, and join me in paying tribute to him and his tremendous contributions to our world," she wrote in another tweet.

She also paid tribute to George H.W. Bush on Saturday by sharing a throwback photo of the late 41st president on her official Instagram account. The photo features Bush giving a sweet kiss to her on her cheek in the Oval Office.
"As a public servant, father, and grandfather, President George H.W. Bush was an extraordinary example for us all. His spirit of service and decency will be missed by many, including our family. I hope his memory will be a guiding light for our country and those around the world," she captioned the picture.
Bush, who served as the 41st President of the United States from 1989 to 1992, passed away at the age of 94 on November 30 in Houston.
On December 5, a state funeral will be held at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Following, a second memorial service at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Houston on Thursday, reported The Hollywood Reporter.
'Becoming' has become the fastest-selling book and 2 million copies have already been sold in the first 15 days. (ANI)
