"Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson faces sexual assault charges

Washington D.C. [USA], July 21 (ANI): Following the allegations of sexual assaults filed by a woman with the Los Angeles Police Department, "Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson is under criminal investigation.
Anderson allegedly assaulted the woman last year after an event that she catered for him. The incident took place when the two met again to discuss future opportunities for business, reported Variety quoting The Blast.
The Emmy Nominated actor, however "unequivocally disputes" the claim.
"It's unfortunate that anyone can file a police report, whether it is true or false. The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim," Variety quoted the statement of Anderson's representative.
A report against the actor was not filed by the woman immediately, she later felt comfortable in coming out with it as the #MeToo movement gained momentum.
Anderson was previously accused, along with assistant director Wayne Witherspoon, of raping an extra on the sets of the 2004 film "Hustle and Flow". The charges were dropped later. (ANI)
