Taylor Swift's performance leaves Jimmy Fallon teary-eyed

Washington DC [USA], November 15 (ANI): Singer-song writer Taylor Swift performed the song 'New Year's Day' from her new album 'Reputation' on Monday in Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show and there wasn't a single dry eye in the studio.

The lyrics of the song - "Hold on to the memories and I will hold on to you" - struck a chord with the comedian who lost his mother a few weeks back.

The Tonight Show host also took to Twitter to share the performance.

The lyrics to Taylor's song unknowingly made reference to a special bond between Jimmy and his mom, and ended up becoming a tribute to late Gloria Fallon.

The two shared a warm hug after the singer's performance.
