Washington D.C. [USA], Nov 16 (ANI): Carrie Underwood underwent a surgery for her broken wrist a few days after she fell outside her Nashville home.

The 34-year-old Country music star took to her Twitter page to say that she was doing "great" following the procedure and thanked those who helped care for her.

"I just wanted let everyone know that I'm doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well.even though I'll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on," the American Idol winner wrote. "I'm so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who've been taking such great care of me."

Her rep had earlier revealed that the 'Before He Cheats' singer had broken her wrist and suffered other injuries just two days after she hosted the CMA Awards in Nashville with Brad Paisley. (ANI)
