Ariana Grande pays tribute to Aretha Franklin

Washington D.C. [USA], Aug 17 (ANI): American singer Ariana Grande paid a soulful tribute to Aretha Franklin on Thursday's episode of the 'Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'.
According to Variety, Grande featured on the show to promote her latest studio album 'Sweetener' and was scheduled to participate in a comedy sketch. But at the last moment, the producers of the show requested her to perform one of Franklin's songs.
The singer got all emotional before the performance and said that Franklin has always been one of her heroes. Grande performed 'Natural Woman', one of Franklin's classics, with the show's in-house band 'Roots'.

Her performance ended up getting a standing ovation from the audience, following which she exited the stage with teary eyes.
The 25-year-old also posted a photo of her with Aretha Franklin on Instagram.
