'Sharp Objects' director Jean-Marc Vallee takes a break
Washington D.C. [USA], Oct 3 (ANI): After receiving a career tribute at the Vancouver Film Festival, Canadian film director Jean-Marc Vallee has decided to "recharge" his batteries and take a break from directing films.

Washington D.C. [USA], Oct 3 (ANI): After receiving a career tribute at the Vancouver Film Festival, Canadian film director Jean-Marc Vallee has decided to "recharge" his batteries and take a break from directing films.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 'Dallas Buyers Club' director said," I burnt myself out. I'm so tired. I'm on a break, have been for a month, and I have seven more to go. I'm taking eight months to recharge my batteries and to get my life back." He also added that it is a marathon, a Herculean effort for a director to direct.
Valle shot two murder mysteries, 'Big Little Lies' and 'Sharp Objects', back to back for 180 days in 20 months.
He also mentioned that it wasn't his choice to become a workaholic since six years ago after earning multiple Oscar nominations for 'Dallas Buyers Club'. "It just happened. I didn't go through a burnout, but I need the break I'm on now," he said.
The 55-year-old resurrected his career in 2005 with 'C.R.A.Z.Y'., a story about a young gay man dealing with his homophobic family.
One of his upcoming projects is 'Les Temps Magiques', the third of a film trilogy after 'Les Fleurs Magiques' and 'Les Mots Magiques', with the feature script already written.(ANI)
