Selena Gomez, David Henrie reunite for 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place' in new trailer

Washington [US], August 10 (ANI): Disney has released an exciting new trailer for 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,' the highly anticipated sequel series to the beloved show 'Wizards of Waverly Place'.

In the behind-the-scenes footage, viewers get a glimpse of David Henrie's Justin Russo and Selena Gomez's Alex Russo, along with David DeLuise's Jerry Russo, marking a return of key figures from the original series.
The teaser features Gomez reflecting on the return to the series' roots, saying, "This is where it all started. We're home."
Gomez, who serves as an executive producer on the reboot, is slated to appear in the first episode of 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,' according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new series picks up with Justin Russo as an adult leading a mundane life with his family.
The storyline follows him as he must revisit his magical past when Alex arrives with Billie (played by Janice LeAnn Brown), a young wizard-in-training.
Justin's challenge is to mentor Billie while managing his everyday life and protecting the future of the Wizard World.
The cast also includes Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Taylor Cora, and Mimi Gianopulos, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place' is set to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ later this year, continuing the legacy of its predecessor while introducing new adventures and characters. (ANI)
