Ron Howard found 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' filming 'challenging'

Washington D.C. [U.S.A], November 17 (ANI): Veteran filmmaker Ron Howard has revealed that he really enjoyed the challenge of making a 'Star Wars' movie and relished every aspect of the job.

In an interview with a leading news channel, the 63-year-old filmmaker shared that initially when he took the director's chair from Phil Lord and Chris Miller, he felt a lot of pressure taking over the reins of the upcoming Han Solo prequel, according to Contactmusic.

Howard noted, "Those are challenging projects. And they take, you know, a lot of very talented people's energy to try to live up to the legacy of 'Star Wars' and everything that it means. Of course, no spoilers coming from me but I had a great experience and I think fans are going to really enjoy it."

'Solo: A Star Wars Story' will focus on a younger version of Han Solo, who is a space smuggler and becomes one of the heroes of the Rebel Alliance in their mission to destroy the Empire.

Howard has been teasing the fans with a lot of information regarding the movie on his Twitter page.

Recently, he shared the first look of the intriguing 'Han solo' set. Howard shared short videos from what appear to be a junkyard.

A junkyard makes perfect sense as it has been made clear hat the Millennium Falcon is a hodgepodge of parts, even being called "junk" more than once in the original trilogy.

'Solo: A Star Wars Story' stars Alden Ehrenreich in the lead role, alongside Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke and Thandie Newton.

The flick is scheduled to hit the screens on May 25, 2018. (ANI)
